I am loving the shoot for the, Wildfox White Label SS 2012, 'Pony Tale' Collection. I Love Wildfox is one of my favourite blogs to read, as it really is inspirational to look at. Kimberley Gordon's photos for this Collection are effortlessly laidback, cool and the kind of images that make you anticipate the summer. She describes the collection as, 'a grown up fairytale' and I couldn't agree more. The Horse printed tee and the beige gold sequin cross shorts particularly caught my eye.

BUNTING
Before Christmas I became a very proud Auntie to a nephew called Arthur...I had a few hours to spare so thought I would give bunting a go. Something I have always wanted to do, but never got round to. I was really pleased with the result and I will definitely be making some to decorate our student house.
For this bunting I used four different patterned fabrics, preferably in a strong/thickish cotton, just because I think it looks better and will last longer.
What I used:
A triangular template
Scissors
Pins
2 lengths of Bias Binding ( I used Navy blue for the front and Red for the back)
I had 8 triangles, so I cut out 16 to begin with.
Red and blue felt for the lettering
I didn't take many photos whilst I was making the bunting, but I got the general idea from this website. Otherwise I used my initiative. Definitely use a sewing machine though, hand sewing would take weeks!

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Happy New Year everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, Christmas has been so busy. Hope everyone got what they wished for. Now Bring on 2012! New beginnings/good intentions (may only last a week) but we try. Renewed Optimism and Inspiration for the year ahead.

SUNDAYBLUES
This week has been pretty jam packed...Starting with learning how to use industrial machines and digitise my designs at uni, I then went home for a few days for a catch up and have come back to go to an exhibition at The Brewhouse Yard in Nottingham..after which we gorged on some scrumptiously good food from 'The oldest inn in England', Ye Olde Jerusalem beneath Nottingham Castle. All in all a relatively successful and productive week, but I am left with a food hangover and a kind of dread of how much work has to be done before the end of term in 3 weeks.
But at least we are nearly allowed to feel festive?! Once December 1st arrives our student house will be decorated lavishly with a multitude of paper stars, snowflakes and little red reindeers..

FIREFLIES
This weekend has involved fireworks and going to a craft fair called 'Lustre' in Nottingham. Here are some pictures from the fireworks and a couple of my purchases from the fair...
